Vadim Wolfson – a major shareholder of Russia’s largest privately held fiscal groups VEO- Otkritie – is regarded as one of the most eminent brokers in the country. His career in the industry can be traced back to 1992 when he started work at Aura Bank as securities trading leader and manager. Within two years he was promoted to deputy CEO. The following year he left to launch VEO-Invest. In 2001 that firm underwent a merger to become VEO-Otkritie.
Alongside his fiscal career, Wolfson has been involved in the media industry with the purchase of an online business journal, with the movie studio he set up and as the host of a radio show. He is also a dedicated to philanthropy, having set up Moscow’s first ever palliative care unit for children.
